A Launch cable is always needed to connect on one side the OTDR and at the other side the link-under-test
Depending on the requirements, launch cable is also needed at the far end side of the link under test (the exit)
It’s available in small form factor as on the picture of in yellow bigger spool boxe. See our other products.
The launch cable is required to overcome the blind spot or Dead Zone of the OTDR.
